First Grade Teacher
I went to North Mesquite High School in Mesquite, TX and I graduated in 2007. I started my college adventure in Lubbock, TX at Texas Tech University; I graduated in 2011.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies and a minor in E.S.L.
I am certified to teach Early Childhood -6th grade general studies.
I began teaching in Dayton as a long term substitute before being hired in December 2017.
I have been in this school district for 1 year now and began teaching 1st grade January 2018. I currently am still teaching 1st grade for the 2018-2019 school year!
I worked at an Early Headstart/Headstart school for 5 years teaching ages 6months-4years of age. I thoroughly enjoyed this time of my life because it really insured me that the young children are who I strive to make a difference with. Their brains are magnificent and just like a sponge! These are the years of their life that matter the most! We must instill the love for education in them young, so they will grow up and be the positive change that this world needs!
I am married to a wonderful man who works hard at serving the entire Houston community. He works on Anestesia Machines at veterinary clinics throughout South Texas.
We do not have any 2 legged children, but we do have 5 dogs who are our furbabies, 1 bunny, 1 bearded dragon, and lots of fish!
When I am not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband and dogs at the lake or just taking walks around the neighborhood! I love to play tennis and go kayaking. I am not from Houston, ,so the humidity has really been a tough one for me get used to (which I still am not!). I do love being outside as much as possible and enjoying nature!
